With the success of my previous Made in Hong Kong paintings, I’ve decided to work on an extension of the series. Here are the first 10 with another 7 or so in the queue.
Ken

16 x 16 oil on canvas. Today I finished this portrait of everyone’s (or at least my) favorite Philly bartender; Ken McConaghy! I posed him in my large office chair and lit him from a single light source with some blue and orange gels. Huge thanks to Ken for his willingness to pose!
My Hayfever is Killing Me

Watercolor on Arches paper. I forgot to post this earlier…My oldest niece asked me to design a new tattoo for her. She loved it!
Flower Arrangement (Commission)

22 x 30 watercolor on paper. This was a piece commissioned by a friend for his wife’s birthday. Each flower represents the birth month of every family member.
Big Bronto Bite

Watercolor on paper. I painted this self-portrait of me with a brass brontosaurus in my mouth.
Dave

16×16 oil on canvas. My latest painting is a portrait of everyone’s favorite coach/gay uncle/friend Dave Cobb! I experimented using red and green gels over a single light source to add some additional color. Praise goes to Dave for being patient while I worked out my concept!
Still Life

9×12 Watercolor paintings on Arches paper. These are some various still life paintings I’ve worked on in the past year and showed at the Wallingford Art Center.
M.I.C. Two-Headed Rex

12x 16 Graphite and Watercolor painting on Arches paper. Taking a short break and a bit of a palate cleanser before starting a new series, I had to paint this guy. He’s been judging me from my box of toys for 2 years now.
Hercules and Iolaus (Final)

“Hercules and Iolaus” 16×40, oil on canvas. My latest painting and a concept I’ve been wanting to create for over a year. Huge thanks to my wonderful and patient friends, Howard Butch McCoy and David Evans for helping me realize this!
